It has a spectacular Cathedral and several award-winning museums, including the Jorvik Viking Centre. Surrounded by a huge stone wall, it has a wonderful atmosphere and offers first-class shopping and fascinating street entertainment. Also included in our itinerary is the picturesque fishing village Robin Hood's Bay, known for the numerous narrow streets and alleys, which were used by smugglers many years ago.
